- Knowledge Gained: What did I learn this week, academically and personally?
Personally, I have learnt I can't do it all. Something always has to give, and this week has unfortunately displayed that loudly. Academically, I feel the course has got a little more "real". both of my first assessments have been submitted and as we walk towards the next few assessments it is obvious that it is about to ramp up!
- Challenges: What obstacles did I face, and how did I overcome them?
This week has been my toughest yet (which has honestly surprised me). The full extent of the commitment of this course has perhaps dawned on me a little as other things start to get missed or put to the side to make room for study and unfortunately this has really been a strain to both my personal and work life.
- Successes & Strengths: What successes or strengths did I recognise in myself this week?
This week has only brought me doubt unfortunately. I'm at a bit of a crossroads as to how to continue and if it is worth it (if I'm being completely honest).
- Application: How can I apply what I have learned?
I know deep down I have the capabilities, but the question is do I have the capacity?
- Areas for Improvement: What skills or knowledge would I like to develop further?
I need to manage my time a lot better with more demanding assessments starting now. In conjunction with this I may also have to rely less on my mum and that will be extremely difficult to manage
- Goals: Based on my reflections, what personal goals can I set for the coming week?
I simply need to decide to stay or go. I will see what this week brings and hopefully it will draw me in the right direction.
Wow, some big decisions here. Time management is tricky, and we don't always get it right. What is your end goal? Where do you see yourself at the end of the subject, course, in one year, in 5. Sometimes just working that put can give us clarity.
