- Knowledge Gained: What did I learn this week, academically and personally?
Academically I learnt a lot more about my thought processes and problem solving. I would usually consider myself quite a lateral thinker as I tend to have a process, but as I was wanting to try something new and not so sure of what the end product would be I tried to use a more abstract approach. I found photography was my best way of capturing my thoughts and just started snapping. My JUST DO IT application from last week certainly seemed to put me in good stead for this week. I learnt, both academically and personally, that I am good at sticking to my word and, for the most part, I achieved last week's goal!
- Challenges: What obstacles did I face, and how did I overcome them?
My pattern cube really has me stumped at the moment, but as I have to use a different medium, I also think perhaps I haven't put enough into it. I will spend more time on it this week and see where the week takes me
- Successes & Strengths: What successes or strengths did I recognise in myself this week?
The fact that I feel strongly obliged to achieve what I have said out load (or written down) keeps me a lot more accountable and is definitely a motivator for me
- Application: How can I apply what I have learned?
Make more promises to myself and put them out to the world so that I feel strongly enough to have to push myself to get it done and place a priority on it
- Areas for Improvement: What skills or knowledge would I like to develop further?
I still need to articulate my process for creating the cubes and while I found the exercise relatively easy once I got going I must admit I was out of my comfort zone
- Goals: Based on my reflections, what personal goals can I set for the coming week?
Stick to this approach and spend more time forming my pattern cube! I must have it completed by the end of the week!
